Zach Deputy to host Disc Jam at Suwannee

Zach Deputy will kick off his first ever Disc Jam with a weekend full of live music over three days, along with several disc golf tournaments. The Disc Golf and Music Event is taking place March 8-10 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fl.

“I want it to feel like a bunch of family hanging out … I’m doing this festival for me. If it were my birthday this is what I would want to do. It’s my vision of what I want to do with my free time,” said Deputy.

Fans can expect the disc jam to include a disc golf tournament during the day and music featuring Zach Deputy and several other bands including Legendary, JC’s, funkUs, Greensound, Herd of Watts, Morning Fatty, and Love Chunk. All of the bands playing at the disc jam are personal friends of Deputy’s. He’s aiming for a big family event with a bunch of friends and fans.

“I am hosting this because it’s two of my favorite things together,” said Deputy. He is a huge advocate for the sport of disc golf and wants to push people to the sport.

His desire to play disc golf all started with Brian Giggy, his tour manager who also owns Explore Disc Golf. Giggy exposed him to it and it was an “instant love affair,” he said.

“It’s something that returns you back to base, kinda like fishing. It’s tranquil and you get to work things out in your head and be in your own space. It’s a therapeutic thing for me,” said Giggy.

Tickets are available for purchase in advance and at the gate the day of the event. Ticket prices are: $35 advance/$45 at the gate for Music and Primitive Camping; $40 advance/$50 at the gate for Amateur Division Disc Golf Tourney, Music and Primitive Camping; $50 advance/$60 at the gate for Pro Division Disc Golf Tourney, Music and Primitive Camping.
