The Flagler College surf team competed in the National Scholastic Surf Association East Coast Championships this past weekend.
The team placed in third place and is not advancing to the rounds in California.
As the team remains disappointed they did not advance, they look forward to the new competitions next fall semester.
“We did the best that we could,” Tom Casse said. “Hopefully we will receive more funding next year and be a little bit more organized and prepared.”
The surf team continues to work on their technique, skills and endurance as they get ready for next semester.
