AC/DC sizzles into First Coast

By Mary Elizabeth Fair | mfair@flagler.edu

I found myself amidst a sea of black Friday evening at the AC/DC concert in Jacksonville. AC/DC is on their Black Ice tour and I was amazed at how much their fan base is still thriving 36 years after the band was first formed.

Every seat was filled at the Jacksonville Veteran’s Memorial Arena as fans wearing the group’s signature color danced and sang along to the band’s most popular songs.

Although the members of AC/DC aren’t as young as they used to be, the energy they have during the show would make you think they were still teenagers, rocking out to the music they were making. They sound just as great as when their music first came out and their songs appear to be as much loved as they ever have been.
