Annual Cathedral Festival provides fun and stress relief for locals and students

Just in time to end the semester is the 23rd Annual Cathedral Festival hosted by the Cathedral Parish School.

Held at The Mission of Nombre de Dios April 18-20, the Festival’s main attraction is its theme park-like rides.

Other activities during the weekend include live entertainment, a silent auction, raffles, bingo, a flea market and fireworks to top it all off.

The Cathedral Festival has been a local favorite since it began in 1985.

Advance tickets are half price—$10 dollars for a sheet of 20 ride and attraction passes—and are currently on sale at the Cathedral Parish School, Prosperity Bank and Conner’s Shell Station on King Street.

And, for those who can’t wait to until then to let loose, on April 17 there will be a “sneak peek” at the Festival grounds.

Anyone with advance ride tickets may bring a friend from 5 to 9 p.m. and ride for the price of one.

Proceeds benefit the Cathedral Parish School.

For more information, call the school directly at (904) 824-2861, or check out the festival Web site at www.cathedralfestival.com.
