‘Ignite’ introduces freshmen to learning communities

From Staff | gargoyle@flagler.edu

This semester, Flagler College is launching an initiative that will create big changes for the college’s freshman experience.

“Ignite” is the college’s new Quality Enhancement Plan. “Ignite” aims to enhance student engagement at Flagler through first-year learning communities.

This fall, two learning communities of about 20 freshman each begin classes. They will study the theme of “Power” through English, government and art courses. They’ll take field trips together, work on special projects, meet at gatherings — overall, they’ll have a unique experience designed to get them involved with their education.

Over the next five years, Flagler will expand the Ignite initiative to include all incoming freshman.
More information will soon be available at ignite.flagler.edu.
