There will be a preview for students, faculty and staff on Friday, Oct. 19. The performance will be signed for the deaf and hearing impaired, and admission is $5.
The production, directed by guest director Jean Rahner, will be performed from Oct. 20, 21, 26-28, at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 22 and 29 at 2 p.m. in the Flagler College Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for general admission, students are $6 and faculty and staff are $8. Presale will start Oct. 16 at the box office of the Auditorium.
“The cast consists of a myriad of delicious characters, whom we explore in real time as displayed by a large clock in the lobby,” Rahner said. “We follow the characters through the day and into the night, how they survive, escape, or deal with life… successfully or not.”
One of the 15 lost souls is “Paul,” played by Brad Backman. He thinks the show will definitely appeal to the audience.
“My character relates to a lot of kids these days, trying to find themselves,” Backman said.
Working with a guest director is a new experience for many in the cast.
“I like working with Jean. She gets very excited about the show. And not having a huge part, she makes me feel like my character is very important, which most directors don’t do,” Audrey Holeman said.
Another exception to the rule is the show itself. “It is an interesting show. Flagler College has never done a show like this before,” Backman said. “It is realism at its finest. And it’s fun working with such a talented ensemble.”
The play will feature Flagler students Gabe Jacobs-Kierstein, Ariana Madix, Megan Hahne, Song Marshall, Kristen Egbers, Chris Johnson, Savannah Thelen, Paul Holzmeyer, Michael Read, Biz Creamer, Brad Backman, Gerard Siegler, Audrey Holeman, Gordon Burt and Samuel Perlin.
Audiences should be aware that the play deals with adult themes and will contain some adult language.
