The Flagler College Theatre Department will debut its Summer Theatre Production, Sam Shephard’s A Lie of the Mind, on Friday, June 15, in the Flagler College Auditorium.
The production, directed by Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts Andrea McCook, will be performed from June 15-17, at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, June 18, at 2 p.m., in the Flagler College Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for general admission and will be available at the door one hour prior to the show.
A man can go days without uttering a word. Sit two guys in an empty room for a week and grunts, farts and hand gestures will satisfy any necessity for communication. The No. 2-ranked Saints, who struggled in their opening rounds of the NAIA National Championship, finished strong on Friday.
They finished the 72-hole tournament in 13th place by shooting a team score of 1208. Oklahoma City University took first place honors finishing with a final team score of 1154. The individual medalist winner was Joe Prince of Loma Nazarene University who shot a four-under 284 for the tournament.

The No. 2 ranked NAIA Saints fought back yesterday to make the cut in the NAIA National Championships.
The Saints shot an even par 288 to capture the 17th and final spot to play Friday. Ian Hoffman fired a three-under par 69 to start the comeback for the Saints. Brad Barfield followed his lead also shooting under par with a score of 71. Bjorn Karringer improved in his third round for the Saints scoring an even par 72. Anders Ekdahl shot a four-over 76 and Dustin Funari shot an eight-over 80 to finish out the Saints third round.
I had a thought-provoking piece on religion and its inevitable path to obscurity but, it seems that the mini-Mac I saved the document on (along with everything else I have developed since last June) crashed and burned and apparently has little chance of recovery. So, I thought I would share a few things that I find interesting.

On May 16 Flagler College hosted a kick off ceremony for the art building renovation project.
According to the President of Flagler College, Dr. William T. Abare, Jr. the project is going to cost around $5.4 million and take approximately 18 months to finish. The renovation will consist of the existing art building and the connected steam dynamo boiler room.
