Late yesterday afternoon, we learned of the tragic death of Thomas Graber III, who was a student at Flagler College. According to information available, Thomas was the victim of a violent crime at an off-campus location. We have learned from local law enforcement that two men, considered to be drifters, have been apprehended and charged with the crime. Grief counselors are available in the Counseling Center to meet with students and other members of the College community who may need support. At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Graber family.

When I walked into the Auditorium on the opening night of Hot*l Baltimore, the first word that came to mind was detail.
Before the show started, I took in the dynamics of the set, from the huge working clock telling the audience the time in the show to the “marble” stairs to the caution tape across one of the doors. Music from the ’60s and ’70s was playing to complete the nostalgic effect.
Flagler Volleyball entered action last Tuesday with their season winding down and a chance to knock off a team that has become a thorn in their side.
The Lady Saints traveled to Lynn University carrying momentum from a 4-1 weekend at home. The Fighting Knights, however, stalled the Lady Saints’ progress, defeating them 3-1 (30-23, 30-27, 24-30, 30-27). It was the second time this year that Flagler lost to Lynn. Both matches went four games.
Coach Teddy Meyer gave a bold prediction Monday morning as his team prepared for Palm Beach Atlantic.
“We will win,” he said.
Meyer’s prediction to spark the team fell short, as the Lady Saints lost 2-0.
The Lady Saints came out strong dominating play and out-shooting the Sailfish 16-6 the entire game, but nothing went their way.
When the Flagler College Lady Saints Volleyball squad took the court on Saturday, it was under an odd set of circumstances. It was 9 a.m. and they were starting their first of three matches on the day, five total encompassing Friday and Saturday.
The early match had the Lady Saints matched up against the NCAA Div. II Armstrong Atlantic State University Pirates. Armstrong Atlantic entered the match as the top team in the Peach Belt Conference and has been the early favorite to win the conference.
I don’t really have anything to say, but I refuse to be outdone by my fellow bloggers.
Whether it was evident to the masses or not, in the last week there have been seven new blog posts to the Gargoyle site (and they’re still coming).
I thought I was pretty on top of it with my one blog every two to three weeks.

The Flagler College Lady Saints Soccer team lost a heartbreaker against 24th-ranked NCAA Div. II Saint Leo Saturday night at Saints Field.
Coming out of the blocks early, the Lady Saints did not waste any time trying to cut Saint Leo down to size, getting key scoring chances in the first half. In an effort to score, Coach Teddy Meyer pushed some extra players up on the forward progression, but to know avail.
