This Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars will face a division rival against the banged-up Tennessee Titans in a great chance to start the season 3-0. Last week, Blake Bortles outdueled all-time great Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

This week, the defense will have its hands less full with a significantly weaker Tennessee Titans team. This Titans team was knocked out in the divisional round and is not considered a serious Super Bowl contender, however, they went 2-0 against the Jags last year.

The Titans will play this game and the rest of the season without star tight end Delanie Walker. Additionally, starting quarterback Marcus Mariota (4-2 all time vs Jaguars) is listed as questionable. Starting right tackle Jack Conklin is also listed as a game time decision. On the Jaguars side, left tackle Cam Robinson will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Leonard Fournette, Jalen Ramsey, and T.J. Yeldon are also listed as questionable.

Depth could play huge in this game with the injuries piling up like they are. The Jaguars won’t have to worry about a hangover from the high of beating New England as Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey said the Jags “think that they’re the kings of the south” and that the Titans will go undefeated in the division apart from their first loss against Houston. Calling out a team that just blew out Tom Brady and Co. is not always the best strategy, but we should see if it works. If I had to bet money, Jalen Ramsey will not miss this game, nor will Fournette or Yeldon. As linebacker Myles Jack said “Revenge Tour 1-0.” I see this being updated decisively to 2-0.

Prediction: Jaguars: 27  Titans: 13
