Senior named grand award winner of 2012 Gargoyle Anthology

Flagler College communication major and graduating senior Alex Bonus was named the Grand Award winner of the second edition of Anthology, a new print publication produced by the Gargoyle.

The 2012 Anthology, a full-color print publication released in April, showcases students’ work in news, features, opinion, public relations and photography.

Bonus’ feature, “A Clerical Error” — a look at health care for homeless patients — received the top score out of all student submissions. Entries were judged by communication department faculty. Bonus was a senior editor on the staff of the Gargoyle this semester, and produced the winning story in Associate Professor Helena Sarkio’s Advanced Reporting class.

The Anthology was created in partnership with the Dow Advantage Public Relations, a student-run PR firm at the college.
