Smokers: This is your warning

I am not an aggressive person. I rarely raise my voice, and when I do, it is usually out of excitement, not anger. There is one thing that will light me on fire, though … smokers.

With the music blaring and windows down, I was speeding along I-4 last Sunday afternoon. I was in very high spirits after spending the weekend with my family. Weaving through traffic, my eye caught a blue minivan.


New Kenan area brings ‘big advantages’

For freshmen students at Flagler College, the new Kenan Plaza is just another section of Flagler’s beautiful campus. But for upperclassmen, it’s much more.

Students hold ‘mixed feelings’ on new smoking policy

For senior Mary Stamm, Flagler College’s new smoking policy is a breath of fresh air. Literally.

Stamm suffers from asthma and an allergy to cigarette smoke. She often has to use alternative exits in an attempt to avoid exposure to smoke. When told about the new restrictions Stamm screamed “Yes!”


Administration debates smoking restrictions on campus

Dean of Student Services Daniel Stewart made a special appearance at Student Government Association’s first meeting of the new semester to discuss plans for revising smoking restrictions on campus.

He and several other administrators, including Flagler College President William T. Abare, Jr., have discussed the smoking problem on campus and came up with a three-part amendment to the current policy.
