Men’s basketball coach honored at banquet

Men’s basketball head coach Bo Clark was recognized for his exceptional leadership at the “Honoring the Legends” banquet held in the Ponce De Leon Dining Hall.

Flagler College honored Clark along with baseball coach Dave Barnett and tennis coach Walter Shinn for 25 or more years of coaching. The banquet featured a social, silent auction and dinner which was held the day before, but in union with the Flagler College President’s Golf Classic.


Flagler looks to hold first round of PBC tournament

The Flagler men’s soccer has found itself putting Flagler College on the athletic map. Since moving into the NCAA’s Division II and the Peach Belt Conference in 2009, the men’s soccer team has achieved great success.

In 2009 and 2011, the men’s team was the regular season champions and the Peach Belt Conference Tournament champions. They are also 3-time NCAA tournament participants, finding themselves in the elite eight of the NCAA Division II tournament.

NBA ‘one-and-done’ policy needs a makeover

He finally did it. John Calipari of the Kentucky Wildcats has managed to get his first NCAA Championship after 24 years of coaching college men’s basketball. But with this glorious celebration comes the bittersweet moment of saying goodbye to many of the players that made this season possible.

Many of Calipari’s squad this season will be entering the NBA Draft in June, including freshman Anthony Davis, who is speculated to be the first pick in the draft, in addition to winning the 2012 National Player of the Year and NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player awards.
