Flagler Greenpeace hosts organic picnic

Although weather delays postponed the Organic Delight picnic, it finally took off without a hitch Wednesday, March 3.

Victoria Priester, Flagler College Greenpeace co-president said they saw a “positive response from everyone.”

On Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Student Government Association meeting focused on a new club grant, a few general announcements and some club updates. SGA President David Matulewicz reaffirmed his best wishes for tomorrow’s presentation of the Attendance Policy proposal to the Faculty Senate.

Riffenburg is First Chair of Student Government Association’s Green Committee. Along with friend Joshua Currie, Riffenburg created the Flagler College Hunger Initiative. He is also an intern for CitySprout and is helping build the garden boxes in Lincolnville.

Ideas and projects are sprouting up all over campus, with one common goal: make Flagler “greener.” Student Government Association recently approved four environmental science students’ final class project, which is a fully functioning on-campus vermicomposting system.
