Once I arrived at Bear Creek I was in awe. The campground was covered with tents blocked off with tapestries with album covers like the Grateful Dead and Jimi Hendrix.

Rocko, a Neapolitan mastiff, has recently become a local celebrity in the St. Augustine area after being rescued.
The dog’s previous owners allegedly abused him by shattering some of his vertebrae, cutting off his ears with scissors and making him stand in his feces, which created a fungus on his paws.

Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) is a local non-profit organization that provides assistance dogs to individuals with disabilities. There is no fee for the dogs and they are highly trained to help the disabled with everyday activities.

For the first time, The Bunnery, a bakery and cafe on St. George Street, is serving until 9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Owner Pamela Cross said The Bunnery is an alternative to a bar. According to Cross, there is no need for alcohol when a full espresso bar is available.
The bakery and cafe offers fresh cookies, cakes and croissants.

Christine Young, a Flagler College junior, finds herself juggling school and work as she assists with the planning of various events for Go Fish, a clothing franchise in downtown St. Augustine.
Young has been a part-time sales associate of Go Fish for a year. Go Fish is a missions-based fair trade company that sells clothing, accessories and home décor among other items made by artisans in developing countries. The store and its employees get involved with the community through different events.

Yoga focuses on the physical and mental part of your body, making it an activity favored among students at Flagler.
“I love yoga because it relaxes my body and muscles and gives me a great workout at the same time,” said senior Amanda Cassella. “I have a hard time making it to the scheduled classes because I have such a hectic schedule.”
