That’s the basic message of the Human Rights Advocates of Flagler College, a new club that Flagler College has to offer. The club hopes to be able to promote human rights awareness around our campus and community.

However, our exam week is only three and a half days and compared to other colleges it is extremely short. Flagler’s final exams are also very short compared to the average college.

First lady Michelle Obama launched the “Let’s Move” campaign last month, which aims to eliminate childhood obesity within a generation.
The campaign encourages kids to live an active lifestyle, and wants to make school lunches healthier.

Because of the cut in school funding, many local schools have seen larger class sizes.
Florida voters voted in the class size amendment in 2002. It sets limits by class size, depending on the grade level.

Flagler College’s Students In Free Enterprise team will be hosting Cardboard Campout on the West Lawn on Friday, April 2 to raise awareness and money for its newest project, “Containers for a Cause.”
With “Containers for a Cause,” SIFE plans to build homeless transitional housing facilities from about 15 to 20 old railroad shipping containers. SIFE has already received one 40-foot shipping container, a donation from former St. Augustine mayor George Gardner.
