After a low-scoring first half, the Saints came back in the second looking like a new team in their first win of the season against Webber International University on Nov. 22.

The first points of the game were not scored until almost two minutes into the game when Shelbi Lindsey, a forward for Flagler, sank a 3-pointer. Lindsey led the team in scoring with 17 points.

The Saints battled with the Warriors throughout the first half. The lead switched back and forth, never exceeding more than four points for either team. In the beginning of the second half, Flagler’s offense exploded, scoring 15 points within four minutes.

Jen Knurek tallied a double-double with 16 points and led the Saints with 12 rebounds, while Latesha Johnson scored 12 and gathered a game high five assists and four steals. Taye’Lor Trotter came off the bench to score 12 points to help lead the Saints to victory.

Webber was lead by sophomore forward, Sarah Dileonardo, who scored 17 points.

The Saints will face Florida Southern at home Nov. 30. The conference portion of their season will begin Dec. 3 when the Saints face Armstrong Atlantic in Savannah, Ga.
