Meltdown takes over USC

St.Augustine’s famous rave, The Meltdown, traveled north and shared the party with University of South Carolina this past weekend.

With a packed car of several Flagler College students and dub step tracks, business major Gunner Hughes and his team from Skybox Studios brought the beloved rave to a larger audience.

Both DJ Apple Sauce and DJ RobSchanz, A Flagler College Alum, hosted the party at one of USC’s popular bars, Sharkys.

“We were really excited about this. It was called Tomorrow Tonight and benefited a charity,” said Hughes.

The Meltdown is an electronic party that was created in Saint Augustine. It incorporates visual aids, dancers, massive sound with top DJ’s spinning house, electro and dub step music.

“It was definitely a success, we were sold out before 11 p.m.,”  said Hughes.

This was the first rave that SkyBox Studios hosted outside of Florida. They are also hosting another event in northern California this upcoming January.

“We have the best lives…ever,” said Hughes.
