How many people remember the smoking carriage on trains? In the UK, it meant entering a complete thick fog of pipes and cigarettes. Weren’t Greyhound buses prim with their rules of no pipes or cigars! No!

20 years ago anyone could smoke in a radio studio. I remember David Frost offering me a huge corona cigar half an hour before we went on air with his daily radio program. But now we know – smoking really does kill, ruins the bones in your mouth along with many other mal effects. If companies go out of business, that is tough but if you have an open air restaurant and state “this is a smoking restaurant” surely that would be up to you to enter or avoid.

The no smoking rules really are a great deterrent and will eventually lead to lower early death rates.

Smoking affects millions people through deaths and diseases. Maybe the ban on smoking is really to knock out many of the small business's that earn there income from an enviroment where people can smoke and relax. One more slam to our micro economy. stop smoking pill
