Looking for yoga? Lots of possibilities off-campus

Yoga focuses on the physical and mental part of your body, making it an activity favored among students at Flagler.

“I love yoga because it relaxes my body and muscles and gives me a great workout at the same time,” said senior Amanda Cassella. “I have a hard time making it to the scheduled classes because I have such a hectic schedule.”

Luckily, St. Augustine has a wide selection of yoga centers located near campus. Each yoga center offers classes throughout the day with varying levels of difficulty. The only problem a student may face are the high prices that usually come with an off-campus exercise class.

“I would be interested in doing yoga off-campus if there were student rates offered because I have to work on a budget being a full time student,” said junior Eric Strasser.

Listed below are yoga centers closest to campus, their rates and their websites for more information:
• Discovery Yoga, located at 3 Davis St. Discovery Yoga offers a student rate of only $10 per class. Their website is http://www.discoveryyoga.com.

• 8 Limbs Yoga, located at 804-D Anastasia Blvd. 8 Limbs Yoga offers a student rate of only $10 per class or $68 for a month of unlimited classes. They also have specials posted on their Facebook such as a free yoga class on the 8th of each month. Their website is http://www.8limbsyogastaug.com.

• City Yoga, St. Augustine, located at 900-F Anastasia Blvd. City Yoga offers a different payment approach. They are not a free yoga center, but they accept what you can offer to pay for all regularly scheduled classes. Their website is http://www.cityyogastaug.com.

• Bikram Yoga, St. Augustine, located at 700-A Anastasia Blvd. Bikram Yoga offers a drop in class for $12, $70 for unlimited classes for a month and 20 percent off class packages. Their website is http://www.bikramyogastaug.com.

    Stephanie,

Thanks for getting this info out to the students! We ((heart)) Flagler College at City Yoga! We are a donation based studio, students are invited to pay what they can for classes. Students and staff should also feel free to come for the first time and check us out without dropping anything into the donation box.

    See you in the studio!

    OM OM OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
