As an environmental science student at a Liberal Arts college, I don’t get much experience in my field.
To combat this loss of information and resources, I decided to head down to Ponce Inlet, Fla. and check out the Marine Science Center. I can honestly say I learned more in two and a half hours at the center than I have in the six science courses I’ve taken at Flagler College.

My cousin – let’s call him “Bill” – is a piece of garbage. It’s hard to be the “black sheep” in a family of eccentrics, but Bill accomplished that feat. After years of drug abuse and a caustic marriage with his high school sweetheart that ended in divorce, Bill left his ex-wife and children and signed up for the Army National Guard.
He thought going to Iraq would transform him into a decent human being, but he ended up in Fallujah in 2007, when it was largely held by the Iraqi insurgency.

With hard work, determination and team chemistry, Michael Lambert and Alex Bonus said the men’s cross country team keeps exceeding their goals.
After the success of their last meet, they are now the fastest team on record in school history, head coach Dave Williams said. The team finished in third place at the Florida Southern Invitational with Lambert placing ninth and Bonus placing 13th.

Freshman Taylor Koerner is up to her elbows in paper mache, paint, construction paper, and 3rd graders every Tuesday or Thursday. Taylor and her Phi Alpha Omega sisters became part of Hugs Across the County, a project to help 2,500 of St. Johns County public elementary school students living near or below the Federal Poverty Level ($20k income).
She asked me if I understood the problem. I told her no, I don’t understand. My eyes locked on hers and my heart wavering, I continued to lie.

I am not an aggressive person. I rarely raise my voice, and when I do, it is usually out of excitement, not anger. There is one thing that will light me on fire, though … smokers.
With the music blaring and windows down, I was speeding along I-4 last Sunday afternoon. I was in very high spirits after spending the weekend with my family. Weaving through traffic, my eye caught a blue minivan.
