More on Meg

Meg Weathersby has played volleyball for 10 years. In the fifth grade Weathersby decided to play the sport on a whim, she became an elite player and helped her high school team win the state title during her junior and senior year.

Weathersby debated playing volleyball in college, but when Flagler approached her about playing for the Saints, it was a perfect fit.

She had already been to the Flagler campus because her two sisters were alumni of the college. Also the small campus suited her well, “I came from a small school. My graduating class only had 47 kids in it,” she said.

Meg Weathersby has been a member of the Flagler Volleyball for two years. As an outside-hitter, her main focuses during games are hitting and defense.

Next season the volleyball team may be competing in the Peach Belt Conference, and the team is excited about that possibility.

“I think it will give us something more to play for. It’s awesome to have the opportunity of a post-season,” said Weathersby.
