On May 16 Flagler College hosted a kick off ceremony for the art building renovation project.

According to the President of Flagler College, Dr. William T. Abare, Jr. the project is going to cost around $5.4 million and take approximately 18 months to finish. The renovation will consist of the existing art building and the connected steam dynamo boiler room.

In keeping with the style of existing buildings on Flagler’s campus, the renovation will feature the Flagler-era historic look by displaying the original interiors. The renovation will create a 3D studio, graphic design and illustration studio, three drawing and painting studios, photography studio, sculpture studio, and an art gallery.

The Architects for the renovation are CRG Architects. Doing the construction will be Batson Cook, who is also the general contractor for the new student center.
