Douglass resigns as women’s basketball coach

By Melissa Bear

Flagler Saints women’s basketball coach Craig Douglass officially resigned last week after two seasons as head coach of the Lady Saints.

According to Senior Women’s Administrator and Head Volleyball Coach Taylor Mott, the Flagler Athletic Department will be busy in the next several weeks as they try to find a replacement before the semester ends.

Up until this point the position has been part-time, but the college is considering whether or not the new coaching position to be offered will be full-time or part-time.

“At this point we are not quite sure what the position will be, but in the next few weeks we will have a more definite idea of what we will be looking for,” Mott said.

Currently all recruits are being told the school is in the process of hiring a new coach, and most women’s basketball recruiting is being put on hold.
